Super Cute Fall Displays!

Time for my second blog post!  Yippee!  Sorry I have been gone so long.  I have been busy the last few days & haven't had time to put another post together.  I just wanted to share a few more of my fall decorating ideas with you.

This is my center piece on my kitchen table.  Please don't look to closely at the table.  I very much dislike it.  It is a 2nd generation hand-me-down.  I would LOVE to get a new round table & chairs that are black, but sadly I just can't afford it :(   Hopefully I will be doing a tutorial in the next few weeks on how to re-finish a table.  Much more cost effective.

Sorry, I got a little off track again...lol.  Back to my center piece.  The orange thing is just dish towel unfolded & centered on the table.  Then I layered a brown place mat on top of that, both from the Dollar Tree.

I filled a clear glass vase about half way with decorative river rock, then put a few foam gourds on top of that.  To give it a little extra pizazz I tied some raffia around it & stuck some sticks that I broke in half around the vase.  They didn't want to stand up straight, so I tried taping them, but they still didn't want to stay.  I wanted to be able to use the vase later for another project so I didn't want to glue it. Besides, I kind of like the way the sticks lean over.  Any way, the vase, rocks, & sticks all came from the Dollar Tree.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bird!!  I love the finish on it.  I found this beauty on clearance at Lowe's for around $4.  He was normally about $20.  I couldn't pass him up.

A couple of cute pumpkins later & I have a super cute, inexpensive center piece.
I have had this vegetable dish display hanging over my kitchen sink for the last 4 years & I have really been wanting to change up my decorating style lately.  My Honey tells everyone that my house looks like a Cracker Barrel.  It's not quite that bad, but it is a mixture of country & antiques.  So, I guess I could see how he could relate the two.  I think I am going to try to go more for a Pottery Barn inspired style.  I thought this would be one of the few places to start.
The first thing I decided to make was a cute little fall flower arrangement.  I took a green bean can I had been saving for a fun project....

....cut out a square of burlap that would be taller than my can & used a rubber band to keep it in place.  If you wanted to you could glue it on, but I was too impatient for that.

I got some floral foam & fall flowers from the Dollar Tree, can you tell I am a little obsessed with that place, so many possibilities!   Stuck the foam in the bottom of the can & then arranged the flowers til I got the look I wanted.

I wrapped some super cute ribbon around the can to cover the rubber band.

Then I added this amazing flower I made.  I absolutely LOVE it!  I will try to add more on how I made it on another day.

Ta Da!!  Here is my finished fall flower arrangement.

I have had this adorable picture frame sitting on a shelf in my guest bathroom for at least 3 years now.  I always intended to put a picture in it, but some how never got around to doing it....

....well I decided it was about time I gave it the honor it deserved.  I had the perfect place for it on my new fall display.  I had this wonderful antique looking scrapbook paper with sheet music on it that I needed as a back drop for my picture of my great-grandfather, Mr. Harry Hickman.  I LOVE this picture so much.  If you can't tell he is in a horse-drawn carriage wearing a wonderful suit.  I am so thankful & blessed to have so many pictures of my ancestors.  I have a couple of projects I have added these pictures too & I will share those more later.  I am VERY MUCH into learning everything I can about my family history.  I just LOVE it!

I needed one more thing to add to my display, so I decided to cover a couple of books I had with more antique looking scrapbook paper & wrapped a ribbon around the stack.

Then it was time to put it all together on a freshly spray painted black shelf...tuck a few Dollar Tree fall leaves here & there...

...add a couple of cute little white pumpkins from the grocery store...

...and WA LA!!! My Super Cute fall display!!!  EEEEKKKK!!!  It's sooo cute!!  I LOVE IT!!!  It is SO much better than before!  The picture doesn't do it justice!

Well, there you go just a few more inexpensive fall decorating ideas.  I hope I inspired you to go out & see what wonderful inexpensive projects you can come up with!  Please, be sure to share any that you come up with.  I love seeing what creative things people conjure up.
